Karth mountain sits before the Navali forest and separates it from the northern mountains. It is on the Western coast of Elos and Several independent cities sit at or near the base of it. The Azarinth Temple, the place where ilea gain her first class, sits just to the east on the southern side of the Navali forest.
One of these cities is Riverwatch, the first city that Ilea visits and the city that Ilea partially considers her hometown. Another is Dawntree, home of the Corinth Order and near the first Taleen dungeon that Ilea enters. This is where Alice Forkspear, the girl that Ilea saves at the beginning of the book, lives. Other independent cities that lie south of Karth mountain include Salia, Venea, Stormbreach, and Wolf Fort.
There are also several other dungeons inside and near Karth that are great for adventurers to explore and gain levels. Other than the Taleen dungeon there is the Calys Dungeon which is the place where Ilea ends up getting her second class. The Calys Dungeon is also where the necromancers that Ilea stumbles upon live and is one of the places that Ilea visits frequently.
The depths below Karth[]
Then deep under the mountain is the dungeon Iz which was once a Taleen city. Iz was once considered the capital of the Taleen Dwarves. Many years ago they dug as deep into the ground as they could and then collapsed the tunnels so the city was only accessible by their Teleportation Gates. Ilea ends up visiting Iz by accident once and she quickly escaped after seeing the overwhelming amount of Centurions and Praetorians. She then visits later with a group of elves where she learns essential information on the Taleen.
Several creatures also lurk in the caves within and below Karth. Among others, Ilea, Kyrian and Feyrair fought a cursed skeleton/flesh creature (lvl ????)[1] that carried a divine quality, cursed hammer: [Silent Memory – Divine Quality] – [The wielder’s intent will be unbroken].[2]
