Overview |
Ilea Spears is the main character of Azarinth Healer.
Prior to her sudden transportation to Elos, she was a med student and an employee of "Shitty Fast Food Place 87" who practiced kick boxing. Suddenly transported to another world, Ilea adapts quickly to life in the new hostile environment.
Personality[]
Ilea is sarcastic and carefree when dealing with people, holding things like rank in little regard. She tends to give most people a chance, though how many seems to depend mostly on how much they happen to catch her interest.
Ilea constantly seeks out stronger opponents, both for the fun of battle and to gain autonomy through strength.
She tries (though often fails) to avoid being embroiled in conflicts between people, but will generally stop to aid those in trouble and uses her not-inconsiderable resources for investing in the modernization of Elos, as well as her own benefit. She generally avoids killing humans when it is reasonable, but has little qualms with doing it if necessary.
She is bisexual, hooking up with a total of 3 males (Roland, Kyrian, and Feyrair) and 2 females (Chris and Felicia) over the course of the story so far. She has also flirted with various other characters, and vocally expressed interest in having sex with them, such as Claire and Neiphato. This causal offer of sex extends even to people she has just met, such as Josie (who was stunned by the offer since it came from the famous Lilith) and Baleron (he declined her offer since he lacks interest in sex of any kind) if she finds them attractive or interesting.
Ilea favors casual, low-intensity, and drama-free relationships, which generally do not last long. She often remains friends with past lovers. Notably, two of her lovers were elves (Heranuur[3][4] - removed from official release - and Feyrair)[5]. She actively avoids sleeping with married people, as a matter of principle, even when she knows it's an open marriage, which is why she stopped her affairs with Roland.
She has an unhealthy addiction to food, pain, and danger. She obsesses over food - sometimes playfully, sometimes not - and ends up owning several restaurants. She seeks out painful situations frequently, usually as a means to becoming stronger. She claims to not be in to pain sexually, but this claim is slightly dubious given her reaction to a lover with an uncontrolled electricity power that zapped anyone who touched her, and her request for Roland to be rougher in bed even getting excited at the prospect of him unleashing his berserker side during intercourse.
She feels most alive when in mortal danger, and prefers to spend most of her time in danger or preparing to survive danger. If she's not in danger and does not feel that she is making rapid progress in training (to improve odds of surviving future danger), then she rapidly grows bored and seeks out interesting opponents and dangerous situations.
Combat abilities[]
Ilea fights with her body, primarily using punches and kicks; augmented by power-enhancing auras and impact- and contact-based magic; and supported by teleportation and powerful healing (initially capable of gradually healing injuries and progressing to the point of near-invincibility, including healing from decapitation). She later obtains additional ashen tendrils which function as part of her body, greatly extending the range at which she can engage in melee. She also gradually acquires various forms of projectile attacks, but these remain secondary to her close range punches and kicks, and medium ranged ash tentacle attacks.
Due to the combination of regeneration, teleportation, and physical might, Ilea is able to single-handedly challenge enemies far beyond her level, which, combined with her propensity for risk, allows her to level extremely quickly. Ilea sometimes claims to trying to become unkillable - she puts a great deal of emphasis on her defense, and is far more durable than most other humans of her level.
Class evolutions[]
Ilea's classes have progressed significantly throughout the story.

Ten points. That’s quite a lot. But changing what I identify as seems like a really nice benefit. Could make me mostly anonymous again if it’s something different from battle healer or just healer. Then again she assumed the titles would stand out on their own. Switching once a week at least allowed her different options, if they were available. There was no way for her to see what kind of titles she’d be able to choose at all.
