Description[]
The fae are ancient and part of a bigger whole, and they are masters of fire, life and space magic(to the point that even the Meadow wanted to learn from them[1]). The power of the whole is hard to ascertain, but Ilea got four marks when identifying it. The individual fae are lower levels and don't appear to be very threatening, but are still very powerful. When Ilea encounters the full cluster again later, she is able to estimate the strength to be far above the Meadow and even the dragon Garonoth.[2] Each fae in a cluster has a distinct personality and will with a voice within the whole, but they make decisions based on majority opinion when they are together. The dark ones seem to venerate the fae(calling them 'Travelers' & Spirits of Old) and it's customary for them to offer ground mana crystals which the fae like to eat[3].
The fae have their own area far above the clouds on top of a mountain, with mana flow so heavy that it's dangerous for people that do not have mana resistance in the third level to go there. It can also weigh heavy on the mind, requiring mental resistance in the third level[4]. The position of the mountain is later revealed to be in the far north-west of the continent.[2]
Befriending a fae is part of the requirements for the class The Faen Valkyrie.
The Spirits of Old[]
The Dark Ones and the Mava both call the fae "Spirits of Old", and they seem to have a deep connection to the concept of magic. Ren Va seems very sure that Ilea's fire of creation is a gift from the fae. The Mava have stories that seem to suggest that the fae were around to guide and protect the first creatures to feel and see. While protecting them, the fae were said to have taught the Mava how to wield magic, build, fight and thrive. Despite these stories the Mava do not know how old the fae are, but believe they formed shortly after the creation of the world in the wake of a fight between the first dragon and the primordial elemental.[5]

Baron's Cluster[]
- Lvl 83 - It had six wings on its back and had a vague humanoid shape. Its head was round and held no discernible features other than two white eyes on its pitch black head. It was attacked by the Lost Wanderer of Elysium, then saved by Team 34 of the Shadow's Hand.[6]
- Lvl 71 - elongated and curved white eyes, black body, dragon-like shaped head, two black horns jutting from its skull[7]
- Baron of Violence - Lvl 103[8]
Unknown clusters[]
- Twin - Lvl 112 - due to an experiment by Khan Joggoth it ended up having his soul fused to her, made of black abyss, has large white eyes, has six wings of white energy[9]
- Ruler - Protected by the empress of Lys. Was rescued from a crazed dark mage that kept it caged and drained of energy.[10]
- Unknown fae cluster - Appeared during the Mava ceremony for the Heart of Verivyen. Overwhelmed Ilea with its presence.[11]
