The Azarinth Healer has taken a very different view on elves. The ones in this story are a very combative race. Other than the Cerithil Hunters and Niivalyr, all elves Ilea meets are exceptionally violent and impulsive. They have pointed sharp teeth, clawed fingers, fair faces and pointed ears. Elven biology is very sensitive to the mana density found within most dungeons. They mostly eat the meat of what they killed including other sentient races and even other elves. Elves are born at level 200 and if they remain at that level they will live for five hundred years
Levels[]

Society[]
The elves are ruled by Oracles, which seem to be female. They are supposed to follow very strict rules and breaking many of these somehow marks the elves as cursed ones. They are divided into six Domains based upon their magic (Water, Sky, Ice, Fire, Light & Dark) and each domain is ruled by a Monarch but each Monarch obeys the rules of the Oracles. The Oracles whims and wishes are confusing to those who don't understand their ways and they choose to leave the practical running of the Domains to the Monarchs.
Niivalyr (Elfie) let it slip that a rite of passage for them is to solo kill a Taleen Centurion. Seen as young until in their fifties, they are as secretive as they are long lived. Most that have been encountered will kill anything they feel is lesser than them and they finish any combat they start. Death of their young on expeditions to Human lands is very common, but the ones that return have been tempered.
Elves tend to have the magic of whatever Domain they are born to but as they grow their magic can change and evolve into something else.
They have a sort of racial arrogance and narcissism that even extends to attacking their own race for interfering with whatever they deem is best for the individual. The few older elves shown have less of this and there are rumors this is true of elves living in their homeland. Still, they have all been firm believers in their racial superiority.
Elven society is very violent, they fight amongst themselves as often as they fight others. They do so not for political gain or power but for sport, sometimes revenge or for law but mostly because they want to. There is no currency amongst the elves although they will sometimes trade favors
The Elves have been fighting a constant war against the Taleen machines for centuries.
Oracles and not few male elves consider Dungeons(a.k.a. Places of Creation) to be sacred.
Cerithil Hunters[]
One group that breaks the rules commonly is the Cerithil Hunters. Cerithil was one of the first to break away from the Oracles and formed the organization that dives into dungeons to kill Taleen machines. “Becoming a Cerithil Hunter… it is often coupled with changing one’s classes. Elves have different reasons for doing so." -Niivalyr. This implies the break from the Oracles is huge in scope.
Domains[]
- The Deep (Domain of Water) - the closest Domain to Karth, the elves of this Domain live in the depths of the ocean, it's unknown if they participate in the war, attacking neither Taleen, Humans or other Elves. It is generally advised to not enter the sea even close to Karth
- The Wastes of Ash (Domain of Fire) - their territory borders the north facing mountain chain and the northernmost part of the Navali forest, far west of Karth and any human settlement. They are a society of fighters and are generally the main combatants fighting the Taleen armies. Most elves who attack the human plains come from this Domain.
- Verleyna, The Singing Castle (Domain of Sky) - flies above the Vannok mountains, west of the Navali forest. They are not known to interfere more than necessary with the groups around them. But if you manage to draw their ire, you won’t be able to find a place remote enough to hide. Elves of this Domain are often winged. Anything that enters their territory without reason or permission is hunted down without mercy. They have some form of truce with the Dark Domain.
- Domain of Dark - the Vannok mountains and their endless caverns belong to this Domain. They are not known to interfere more than necessary with the groups around them. But if you manage to draw their ire, you won’t be able to find a place remote enough to hide. They have some kind of truce with the Sky Domain.
- The Still Valley (Domain of Ice) - found north of the Vannok mountains and west of the Wastes of Ash
- Domain of Light - found in the desert south of the Vannok mountains and west of the Navali forest. They mostly remain in their desert, the harsh conditions dissuading any enemies that would try and seek them out, not that anybody would succeed without their consent.

Half Elves - Rare, and quite dangerous for the other species. The children’s power is vastly inferior to a true elf, though some features remain. Hated and hunted by all, it is not a fortune one should eye.
