Description[]
Drakes are dragon-like 4-legged reptilian monsters 3 meters in length. They have the head of a dragon, no wings, and a massive maw that can easily crack bones.[1] They come in a variety of colors including green, red, and black. Their eyes are yellow and reptilian,[1] and they are very fast and tough.[2]
They roar often, which can be heard from far away and carry a vague resemblance to a bear's roar. When heard in the nearby vicinity of the drake, its roar is deafening.[1] In addition, the roars sometimes possess a slight slowing quality.[2]
Typically, when consuming a meal, they ignore any new prey that may appear.[1][3]
Drakes can breath fire, to an extent.[2] Their scales are sometimes used in the manufacturing of equipment.
Drakes have been seen with levels as high as 76-86 (death message was ambiguous), though their average level is lower, probably around 40.

- A Drake is the first monster Ilea encounters on Elos. She later informally refers to new challenging opponents she meets as "drakes" in honor of the first monster in Elos that she had to struggle to overcome.
- It is said they carry dragon's blood.[4]
